Hoobuy haulA shopping & packing journal

Give every piece the right protection.

Choose protection, compare combined and separate parcels, and review the final package before paying to ship.

Choose the contents before choosing the box

Select accepted warehouse items and check the quantities. Leave out anything waiting for a measurement, return or exchange. Confirm that the chosen route accepts every item type, including batteries or liquids.

If a gift needs its retail box, say so. If a shoe box or excess packaging is optional, compare the saving against the protection you lose. Removing packaging is harder to reverse once the parcel is prepared.

Soft clothing, structured items and fragile pieces

Hoodies, tees and trousers
Ask for appropriate protection from moisture. Compact packing can reduce empty space, but check whether compression suits the fabric and any decorative details.
Structured bags and shoes
Decide whether shape protection or the retail box matters. Do not compare a protected quote with an unprotected one as if they offer the same service.
Fragile accessories
Explain which part can break and request suitable cushioning. Extra protection can add both weight and volume.

Compare the actual finished options

Ask for packed dimensions as well as weight. Some routes use volumetric weight: length × width × height divided by the route’s stated divisor. A light, bulky box can be billed differently from a compact one with the same contents.

For example, a 40 × 30 × 20 cm box divided by an illustrative 6,000 gives 4 kg. That is a calculation example, not a Hoobuy route rule. Use the selected route’s own formula, minimum and rounding rules.

Combining avoids some duplicated packaging, but size limits or billing brackets can change the outcome. Compare two eligible separate totals against one eligible combined total.

Make the shipping payment after the final check

Confirm the destination, recipient details, item list, packaging and chosen route. Read what optional cover includes, excludes and requires for a claim. Check whether the payable amount is estimated and how an adjustment is handled.

Keep the parcel number and the confirmed amount. The international shipping payment is separate from the earlier product purchase.

How to use the haul quote comparison

Collect two eligible separate-parcel totals and one combined-parcel total. Use the same destination, contents, currency, protection and optional services in each comparison. Confirm whether the quotes are estimates or finished-parcel amounts.

  1. Enter the all-in amount for parcel A and parcel B.
  2. Enter the all-in amount for the combined parcel.
  3. Select Compare the amounts. The tool adds A and B, then compares that sum with the combined amount.

For example, separate quotes of 50 and 40 total 90; a combined quote of 70 is 20 lower in the same currency. These are illustrative amounts, not Hoobuy rates. A lower price does not override a size limit or a missing protection service.

Blank and negative entries need correction. Clear resets the form; edit and compare again whenever a quote changes. The calculation runs here in your browser and does not request or book shipping.

Enter three quotes in the same currency.
